Dr Aisling Gillen

Dr Aisling (pronounced Ash-ling) Gillen grew up in the countryside of Co Longford, Ireland, and completed her medical degree at University College Dublin. After several years of practice at the Mater Hospital in Dublin, she made the move to Australia in 2021. Since then, she has worked in a variety of hospitals across the country, including both Joondalup and Midland Hospitals in Perth, the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, and most recently, the Royal Hobart Hospital here in Tasmania. Currently working as a GP registrar at Lenah Valley, Dr. Gillen brings a wealth of experience and a diverse medical background to her practice. She is particularly interested in chronic disease management, women's health, and care for the elderly, and is committed to providing patient-centred care. When she's not working, Dr. Gillen enjoys practicing pottery (although admittedly, not very well), as well as yoga and bush-walking, which provide a perfect balance to her busy medical career.
